Fort Management Ltd. ("Fort Management," "we," "us," or "our") is a condominium management company based in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. We manage condominium corporations on behalf of their boards of directors and provide property management services to owners, tenants, and residents.

  • Financial Information: Assessment and fee payment records, account balances, and related financial data processed through our accounting systems.
  • Communication Records: Emails, text messages, call logs, and meeting records related to condominium operations.
  • Website Data: When you visit our website, we may collect your IP address, browser type, and cookies as described below.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Sending operational communications including maintenance and service notices, advisories, parking and access updates, safety or emergency alerts, and inspection notices.

  • Sending Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Board of Directors meeting notices.

  • Managing owner, tenant, and resident records on behalf of condominium corporations.

4. Email and SMS Communications

Email: With your consent, we send email communications related to condominium operations, community updates, and important notices. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us at admin@fortman.ca.

Agreement to Receive Text Messages

With your consent, Fort Management Ltd. may send you periodic SMS or MMS messages containing important information, updates, and community notices.

  • You will receive up to 4 messages per month.
  • You may unsubscribe at any time by texting the word STOP to (587) 332-4337. You may receive a subsequent message confirming your opt-out request.

  • T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • You agree to notify us of any changes to your mobile number and update your account with us to reflect this change.
  • Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your cell phone number, your carrier's name, and the date, time, and content of your messages, as well as other information that you provide. We may use this information to contact you and to provide the services you request from us.
  • By subscribing or otherwise using the service, you acknowledge and agree that we will have the right to change and/or terminate the service at any time, with or without cause and/or advance notice.
  • Messages will come from Fort Management Ltd. on behalf of the condominium corporation(s) we manage.

Will I be charged for text messages I receive?
Fort Management Ltd. will never charge you for the text messages you receive. Depending on your phone plan, you may see charges from your mobile provider. Please reach out to your wireless provider if you have questions about your text or data plan.

No Mobile Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to help deliver our services. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their functions and are required to protect your data. Our current service providers include:

  • MailerLite — Email newsletter and communication delivery.
  • SimpleTexting — SMS/MMS message delivery.
  • QuickBooks — Financial and accounting management.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Cookies

If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies last for one year.

Owner and resident records are retained for the duration of ownership or tenancy and for a reasonable period afterward as required by law.

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.

9. Your Rights Under PIPA

Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
